The Samsung Galaxy U finally goes official, after its specs were confirmed. This is Samsung’s closest release to its handset Galaxy S, as the phone has many similarities with the Galaxy S and the same can be said for the price tag also. The Galaxy U most notable feature is the 3.7 inch display, which is smaller than that on Galaxy S. Recently Steve Jobs has commented on big sized Android phones and associated difficulty holding and carrying a hug mobile device like HTC EVO and Samsung Galaxy S.
The Samsung Galaxy U features are:

Some of the other noteworthy facets of the Samsung Galaxy U handset include the support for video playback in video formats like MP, 3GP, 3GPP, K3G, Divx, Avi, Mkv, flv and asf. The device is also accompanied by an audio player which supports audio formats like MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, AAC, MID, MIDI and FLAC. The device is accompanied by a 1500 mAh battery which shall provide for a talk time of up to 7 hours, and a standby time of up to 370 hours. Weighing about 131g, the Samsung Galaxy U handset is being provided with a Wi-Fi connectivity also. While purchasing the phone, the handset comes with an 8 GB memory card and the device supports Live Wallpapers also.
