Here arrives the next PS3 firmware update which adds PlayStation store recommendations for users. PlayStation3 system software update also includes the latest security patches, settings, features and other items. But think once before you update your PS3 to this. Yes, according to latest reports that have surfaced, this firmware update might turn out to be your worst nightmare by the time you finish installing the update.
Some of the users, who have already tried their hands on the update, have reported to have ended up with a “no applicable data” error after the installation process. The boys from CVG have even found out that the firmware 3.41 is affecting only the PS3 that have the previous firmware stored on the hard drive and not on the system’s memory. Their only explication for this problem is a new feature of the 3.41 firmware that gives you the possibility to have more patches.
But the most shocking part is that the fault comes from Sony’s tech team don’t even test their products properly before their release. So it’s better to think twice before you actually take that big step to install the hard drive in your console. However, the next PSP (PlayStation Portable) firmware update (v.6.31) will be soon coming as well. This is a minor update, and system software stability during use of some PSP format software titles has been improved.
