Details have surfaced on Panasonic’s official website of a new 3D camcorder, the Panasonic HDC-SDT750. But the key light is that it seems the SDT750 will be a high end 3 MOS Panasonic camera equipped with a 3D conversion lens. Panasonic is expected to officially announce the HDC-SDT750 3D Camcorder sometime this week.
Expected date of launch is July 28, however, the biggest surprise here is that the HDC-SDT750 might not even be a new camcorder model per se. As the source code points out, the 3MOS Sensor splits the light information captured by the lens into the three primary colors and processes each color with its own individual sensor.
On the other hand, this up-scaled 3D camcorder will sport 1080p AVCHD 60fps capability and Hybrid O.I.S. image stabilization. No more details are provided at this moment, but folks can wait a week longer for its official announcement. But yes, let me repeat again, this is nothing new. It’s actually the same older 3MOS model with a “3D coversion lens” attached to the front, that’s it.
