Panasonic has already brought several products geared for the expanding market of 3D devices. Now the company is all set to introduce a new consumer-level 3D camcorder sometime next week. Specific details have not been disclosed yet, although a full set of specs is expected to be announced during the official unveiling.
So now all the folks can shoot in 3D, thanks to Panasonic which showed off the world’s first consumer-level 3D camcorder at CES this year. Although it might be easy enough to operate, yet the $21,000 price tag will keep it out of most of our hands. The company is yet to provide details about the new model, but has confirmed a Tokyo press event on July 28th and that it will be far more in line with their current, 2D range in terms of bulk, than their existing AG-3DA1 professional 3D camcorder.
Guesses hint that Panasonic will be aiming for as close to Full HD video as possible for the budget, given their 3D-capable VIERA range of HDTVs support such resolutions. The company has already introduced Consumers can purchase a variety of VIERA plasma HDTVs ready for 3D content, with size classes ranging from 50 to 65 inches. The TVs have also been sold alongside a pair of 3D Blu-ray players.
