Dell announces something which can be said to be an industry’s ‘first’, with integration of 32GB of system memory into its Precision M6500 laptop computer. Also, M6500 is not the only one to get a memory upgrade, Dell Precision M4500, is also getting a boost to 16GB of RAM.
The key specs of Precision M6500 are:
- Up to Intel CoreTM i7 Extreme Edition Quad Core processors
- A 17-inch behemoth notebook
- Genuine Windows 7 Professional
- Nvidia Quadro FX 3800M graphics
- Up to 32GB1 of fast 1333MHz DDR3 memory for large data sets
- Optional RAID 0 or 1 storage for performance or redundancy
- Delivers performance and is certified with many ISV applications
Additional memory would now specially benefit the engineers and others who require loading and working with large data sets faster. All of the above follows USB 3.0 upgrade with Core i5 option has been announced for this model few months before this year. However till now it is not clear of the prices whether it will affect the current $1,899 starting price, or if it will only be available in customizable models.
