Victoria Beckham To Design The Next Range Rover ‘Evoque’
What if someday you come to know that Victoria Beckham is designing a car for you? Indeed she is…..! Range Rover has just revealed “Evoque” at the Kensington Palace in London. And to your amazement, the Spice girl would design it. She would become Land Rover’s new creative design executive.
Talking about the car, Land Rover used the splendid settings of a London garden party to showcase the newest addition to its ultra urbane Range Rover family, the Evoque. The event also marked the 4oth year anniversary of the exclusive Range Rover and the addition of the new small version came as a surprise. The event could not have asked for a more posh celeb attendance as former Spice Girls singer Victoria ‘posh’ Beckham was also present at the gala event at the Kensington Palace.
The event held in partnership with the VOGUE magazine is meant to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary. Up until this point the engine options offered by the Range Rover Evoque have not been unveiled yet, however, the manufacturer says it will emit less than 130g/km of CO2. The Range Rover Evoque will be available with a choice between a 2WD and a 4WD drive systems, and these are about all the technical details released so far.
Evoque will join the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in U.S. dealerships in fall, 2011 as the smallest, lightest and most fuel efficient luxury SUV that the brand has ever produced. Land Rover has designed a smart marketing campaign for Evoque preferring to let the details and specifications about the new model filter out in a series of auto-show manifestations rather than releasing boring statements and posts detailing the specifications.
