Does iPhone 4 knows to be in controversy or does the controversy drags iPhone 4 everytime? No answer. But I must say that even the most awaited phone, when launched, crept up with numerous problems (including the antenna reception problem still in limelight.) Strange…but it happened! Still will it continue to raise demands in the market or its popularity will fall? Then, who will give a tough competition to iPhone4. May be it will be an Android powered handset.

An operating system of a phone is very important as the whole structure of a phone depends on it. The iPhone4 is built-up on iOS4 and Android 2.2 aka Froyo is also an operating system designed by Google to combat the competition with Apple. Android OS is found in handsets like HTC EVO, Nexus One and Droid . But between iOS4 and Froyo, which is better….lets find out.

  • Multitasking:

Both iOS4 and Froyo have the capability to support Multitasking.

  • Hot-Spot Capabilities:

In Android 2.2, WiFi could be shared with upto 8 devices but the system is not there in iOS4.

  • Video Chat:

With iOS4, it comes as a native support on iPhone4 hardware. On Froyo, available through add-on apps.

  • Applications:

Apple offers around 2,00,000 apps and Google provides around 50,000 Android apps.

  • Ads:

iOS4 supports in-app ads through iAds. Apple sells and hosts the ads and shares revenue with developers. Payment through iTunes. Android 2.2 has in-app ads available through Google Mobile ads. Adsense for mobile ads is in beta mode for developers.

  • Flash Support:

No in iOS4. Apple says it supports only two platforms: HTML 5 and its app store. Yes in Froyo as Beta version of Flash Player 10.1 available on Android 2.2.

  • Tethering:

Available in both.

  • Music:

Music Available through iTunes in iOS4 with automatic syncing with desktop iTunes. Streaming music only supported through apps. In Android 2.2, built-in ability to play MP3 files, but no syncing with your desktop music. Streaming music available via add-on apps.
