It was pretty expected from the crowd outside every Apple outlet….that iPhone 4 would go out of stock for sure. And this actually happened. Earlier pre-orders were also available for iPhone 4, yet the turned-up crowd was tremendous, and on the very launch day, there were hundreds of people who returned empty-handed.
On June 24, stores actually ran out of stock……and till now there really hasn’t been any official word from Apple. However, Apple provided an online iPhone availability checker that informed whether its retail stores had any phones in stock. It furthers directs you to a link to an Apple’s online store, which, as of this writing, is saying that any iPhone 4 order won’t ship for the next “three weeks.”
Hence, the crowd may have debauched at the Apple Stores since Thursday, but that doesn’t mean the iPhone 4 is in heavy supply there. To believe me, you might even call up a retailer near you who would surly say the phone is out of stock. I did the same and called up a retailer next to me, he said the same, and added that he even didn’t have the idea when the next stock will arrive.
Now don’t lose heart, we have other options also. The Apple Store isn’t the only option: Wal-Mart, RadioShack, and Best Buy also are selling the iPhone 4, though we’d advise you to call up the store once before you land there. AT&T has been the most clear about when walk-up customers can get their hands on an iPhone 4. The company says it will start walk-up iPhone 4 purchases on June 29.Again, don’t turn up without calling. Lets hope the stock comes in soon….that too this this without any complains…like recession or screen problem. Hey if you shop a store finding an iPhone4 available, do drop in the address.
