I guess Hulu is getting active and we will get to follow a wire of news from the company soon. Some in the list include that Hulu is in talks with CBS and Viacom to add their content to the upcoming premium Hulu service. The second rumour cites that Hulu might carry a paid TV service on Sony’s PlayStation game consoles. And and…..also the popular streaming content destination is designing an app for the Apple iPad. Besides, the service, dubbed as Hulu Plus, may be accessible for some 10,000 testers next week, according to All Things Digital.
Some big announcements are expected to flow from Hulu soon. If CBS owns a stake in Hulu, customers will then get a chance to watch full content as long as they pay a small monthly subscription fee. Hulu will keep the free, ad-based service available too, but you can only watch the trailing five episodes of a current season using the free site. The deal might strike in September.
Also according to a Bloomberg report, PlayStation 3 owners registered on the console’s web service will soon be able to subscribe to a planned Hulu pay service to get on-demand access to current prime-time television shows. Hulu plans to soon begin charging customers and is looking to make bigger its content to consumer devices like the Xbox and iPad, sources have told Reuters, as the site’s media proprietors experiment with platforms beyond an ad-supported TV model.
However, it would make sense for Hulu to announce Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 support, along with its iPad app, when it launches Hulu Plus. While some of Hulu’s website viewers may find a reason to pay for the service, it has the potential to find more support among customers who want to bring its content to their televisions and the iPad , just like how Netflix’s Watch Instantly found success on the Xbox 360, iPad, and a variety of other devices.
