Well today I read something crazy and had to pass it on to you. What does it strike to you from the word “Emoticon”? May be smileys……but what if the meaning slightly changes. That’s what Samsung’s next phone is called Emoticon or Smiley.

Samsung’s decision to name a phone which will attract kids only leaves me with a question, that have they also designed this range especially for kids? No doubt, this would be a low-level Samsung messaging phone, and as described by Gizmodo, the phone includes a QWERTY slider with a 1.3-megapixel camera, dedicated shortcut to messaging applications and T-Mobile’s Social Buzz, a software connection to various social networks. I guess its more like a fun kiddy design! It’s hitting T-Mobile exclusively, besides with the very similar Gravity 3 and Gravity Y sliders.

The other two Gravity models have 2-megapixel cameras, built-in music players, HTML browsers and support for up to 16GB of expandable memory. Differences between the Gravity models include the fact that the Gravity 3 offers an external T9 keyboard, and a slide-out QWERTY pad, while the Gravity T features a customisable 2.8in touchscreen display. All three phones are available in the US now, but there’s no indication as to whether they’ll make it across to the UK anytime soon.
