Nintendo’s biggest announcement at E3 was the GoldenEye coming back exclusively on Wii. But this time it will have a twist, yes the Wii version of GoldenEye 007 will feature one major difference! It will star Daniel Craig rather than Pierce Brosnan. The original GoldenEye game came out for the Nintendo 64 and is considered a classic and one of the pioneer games for shooters on a console till today.

Also according to sources, this game would be much more physical than the previous ones and so does it choose Daniel Craig. In an exclusive interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Wilson, who has worked on Bond films such as GoldenEye and Casino Royale, says, “What I like about the Daniel Craig Bond is that he is very physical. That means that we’re dealing with a lot more hand-to-hand combat and non-lethal takedowns. You walk into a situation as Bond and you can either shoot things or deal with them in a much more intelligent, skillful way.”

Wilson also adds that Craig knows his Bond games inside out, and wouldn’t stand for any “rubbish”. Craig’s influence doesn’t end there. His rough and ready interpretation of 007 has had a tough impact on the gameplay, too. Wilson says Craig was aware of the original game’s impact, and was keen to add his input. “He makes a lot of comments about what we should and shouldn’t do with this game. He plays all the Bond games so he doesn’t want them to be rubbish. He’s a real taskmaster!”

“When we first pitched the game to him, he was really excited about it,” said the Vice President of Global Business Strategy, Bond Marketing Inc. “He thought the original game was great. Daniel plays a lot of games and he has a lot to say about them. He gives us a lot of good criticism. We’ll show him what the plan is and he’ll suggest changes and get very hands-on.”
