vodafone carrier data limit Vodafone Declared Best Network: Stops Charging Customers Going Over 500MB Data Limit

Are you hooked up with a Vodafone connection? Here is some good news. Vodafone says it won’t start charging customers who go over their 500MB data limit from June 1 for “a few months”. Changes to Vodafone data charges caused concern among customers last week. Seems Vodafone has tried to solve this. Something more- Vodafone came out as the best network for mobile internet according to the results of a YouGov survey. The research claims Vodafone beats its rivals in 8 out of 10 areas including reliability. It also claims the network is the best place to be if you’re an iPhone owner.

Vodafone said, “In June we’ll be introducing a free text service to tell our contract customers when they’re approaching the upper limit of their data bundle.” Recently I had written a post claiming the problems people face because of high unexpected data charges, and FCC’s step asking the wireless carriers to notify their customers before they reach roaming or data usage limits under their wireless service plans. This might have come as a step to this.

Vodafone says this will affect very few of its customers: “As the vast majority of our mobile internet subscribers (more than 97 per cent) never reach the limit they will not be receiving the text alerts at all.” It says it won’t apply additional charges straight away. Vodafone claims that less than 3 per cent of its customers will near their data limit. After sending several text alerts, Vodafone says they will “be advised to upgrade to another data plan to avoid incurring unnecessary additional charges.”

Now talking about its topping the charts, the research conducted by YouGov’s asked 3367 adults questions about the mobile networks. 338 of them were Vodafone subscribers with smartphones using mobile internet. In separate research also conducted by YouGov talking to iPhone users, Vodafone also came out top, rated best for network coverage and reliability. The survey consisted of 1211 iPhone users with 234 of them on Vodafone. So guys get your hands on a Vodafone.
