Developers can now finally start coding, as they can start creating apps for Samsung’s Bada platform. Samsung Bada is an open mobile platform which will enable developers to create applications for millions of new Samsung mobile phones, and consumers to enjoy a fun and diverse mobile experience.
Based on Samsung’s knowledge in developing preceding proprietary platforms on Samsung mobile phones, Samsung can generate the new platform and provide opportunities for developers. Samsung Bada is also simple for developers to use, meaning it’s one of the most developer-friendly environments available, mainly in the area of apps using Web services. Lastly, Bada’s ground-breaking User Interface (UI) can be transferred into a stylish and attractive UI design for developers
Samsung Bada offers an easy-to-integrate podium for mobile operators so that mobile operators can provide unique and differentiated services to their customers. Samsung will also be able to expand the range of choices for mobile phone users to enjoy the smartphone experiences. By adopting Samsung Bada, users will be able to easily enjoy various applications on their mobile. Albeit, it will take a few more weeks that there will be a handset to run them on.
Bada Developers’ portal provides the Software Developer’s Kit version 1. This kit promises that the Bada-based Wave phone will be followed by “successive promising handsets”. Bada phones will hit the market globally later this year. Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iPhone/iTunes combination is Bada. The Wave, available at £400, is priced more like a smartphone than the mid-range feature phones that the Bada platform is supposed to enable applications for. Many developers have started creating applications for a phone that promises all the expense of a smartphone excluding the features.
