Are you hungry while accessing Facebook? If yes….then what’s the big deal. World’s leading fast food chain McDonald’s and Facebook jointly plans to provide customers with “e-mail ordering service.” Now just order while accessing…..easy isn’t it?

According to “Advertising Age (AdAge) website,” the social network is expected to launch in the coming weeks, a geolocation service on mobile. This new service will be offered to its 425 million users in the coming weeks. McDonald is the first advertiser to take advantage of this feature. Several mobile Agencies are already working on this service on behalf of other advertisers.

McDonald’s will offer this new device through a mobile application designed by the agency Tribal DDB. The fast food chain will offer Facebook members mark their position on how to Foursquare. These positions, which will be displayed in the status of Facebook member, will include the name of the restaurant. The latter will also be able to indicate what he eats. However, coupons for Angus burgers and such could also be in the mix for Facebook users who check in while at participating McDonald’s locations.

Analysts predict that, Facebook has 450 million customers and around 100 million customers use mobile phones and other handheld device to log the status of Facebook Web site, “Geolocation” application launch, will allow Facebook functional use of the site to become the biggest winner. Currently, four wireless services company operating enterprises (Foursquare) and Gowalla companies have introduced such use of mobile phone wireless location services.

This deal would serve as its own advertising within an application. Indeed, AdAge said the app was negotiated as part of a “bigger media buy on Facebook, and McDonald’s will be the first marketer to take advantage of the service.” Besides, Facebook will have to be very careful about protecting user privacy with any location service as already the company is weathering privacy storms on multiple fronts.
