Who doesn’t likes thin and slim things these days……..as they look stylish and are easy to carry and handle at the same time. Either be it a mobile phone, laptop or a LCD screen……..thin-and-light designs are a major trend since 2009. Now if you have agreed to this, then what will your answer be if I ask you to name the thinnest and lightest laptop? Confused? Let me answer that one, yes a recently circulating series of photos from Vietnamese tech Web site vozExpress show what looks like a soon to be announced Toshiba laptop, which promises to be both the thinnest and lightest 13-incher on the market.

Now you might be wondering that it might cost you a little high…….but Toshiba has an edge over pricing. Earlier brands like Dell Adamo, MacBook Air, MSI X340, and the Dell Adamo XPS were extremely thin and light with attractive qualities but they were usually also expensive ones, and tend to happen at the expense of performance and/or battery life. Toshiba’s this model also has very attractive looks…..thin and light it is…..and comes with basic key specs, without sacrificing battery life or performance—and at a reasonable price.

The computer will run off a standard-voltage Intel Core i3/i5 CPU and have a second, specialized Super Charged Ion battery, a new technology that can charge to 90 percent capacity in 10 minutes. SCiB batteries haven’t been used yet in laptops; Toshiba’s Web site mentions applications ranging from lawnmowers and electric bicycles to forklifts and solar power generators. It’s unclear whether a laptop version would offer a long battery life, or just be able to charge-and-rally quickly.

Hence, now we can expect the market to turn a little less expensive as I am sure that after Toshiba, other brands will also likely follow it with similar products at lesser prices. Yes…so just cross your fingers and wait.
