A new Android powered phone myTouch 3G Slide, successor of MyTouch3G, would be released by T-Mobile today and would be coming to the network in June. The new T-Mobile myTouch has a full QWERTY keyboard, a new Android user interface and a bigger touchscreen. Lets count down its basic specifications:

The specifications of the phone are -

  3. 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash
  4. Wi-Fi

  7. microSD support upto 32GB (8GB included)
  8. slide-out QWERTY keypad
  9. Genius Button allowing customers to text/call through voice commands
  10. myModes allowing to create multiple modes with customized widgets, themes and phone settings
  11. Faves Gallery shows text, e-mails call logs and social networking status of your favorite 20 contacts in a single widget
  12. The touch keyboard could also be used with Swype for quicker typing

It was noticed that the myTouch 3G Slide might not be as pocketable as the original myTouch 3G, however the keyboard was a welcome addition. Its keyboard keys are large which are comfortably spaced. The latest Android 2.1 firmware is incorporated in myTouch 3G Slide. Some HTC Sense like features is also built-in in the phone like a weather application and the socially-aware address book.The work e-mail and appointments could also be avoided and those applications could be hidden from the homescreen after leaving office. The MyTouch 3G Slide would be available with T-Mobile in June. The pricing of the device has not been announced yet.
