Are you one of those planning to hit an iPad 3G? Yes-Yes finally today Apple is closing its retail stores for an hour to prepare for the launch of 3G iPad. Customers who pre-ordered the cellular iPad no longer need to wait for the stock as they have finally arrived. However, Apple believes there will be as much demand for this second iPad launch as there was for the first.
But sad news follows as Apple will only be filling pre-orders for the iPad 3G today, but more will be available on May 7. Some Apple stores are already reporting that fans are lining up to wait for the release, but lines are not expected to be as intense as the April 3rd release of the iPad. Apple has not released the sales numbers yet, but it is expected to be another strong release for the Cupertino Company. Pricing for the 3G is as follows:
- 16GB $629.00
- 32GB $729.00
- 64GB $829.00
Apple is ready for arrival with iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G. The product is set to launch at 5 p.m. The launch is different from the one earlier this month for the Wi-Fi-only model, which occurred on a Saturday. For that launch, stores began selling the iPad at 9 a.m. and UPS had special Saturday delivery for those who preordered online. However, those who preordered the iPad with 3G began receiving notifications that their order had shipped. For this delivery, Apple has employed FedEx, and users should be receiving their 3G models today.
