Though Nokia has been new in creating handy Internet Equipments, still in recent years it has proved its worth by Nokia 770 Internet Tablet and succeeding N800, N810, and N900, and of course the Nokia Booklet 3G Netbook. Now soon its going to catch up with its competitors with the launch of its much awaited touch screen tablet. The company is on with its designing and manufacturing and is planning a launch by the end of this year.
Many other giants including Samsung Electronics Co Ltd and Hewlett-Packard Co , are expected to follow Apple Inc’s move into the new category of devices, between traditional PCs and smartphones. Nokia also plans to join them. According to sources, Nokia and Intel’s technology amalgamation was related to blending Intel’s Moblin and Nokia’s Maemo software to form a fresh and innovative operating milieu named MeeGo. This amalgamation, held previously this year, would probably bring a variety of gadgets which include Netbooks, tablets, pocketable mobile PCs, in-vehicle infotainment technological systems and connected televisions.
Nokia has experience with tablet and lightweight computing. In addition to the Maemo Nokia N900, the company already has the Nokia Booklet 3G on market as one of the sleekest netbooks available. But like the Nokia Internet Tablet devices before it, the Booklet 3G never quite caught on. Now, Rodman Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar claims that Nokia is working with suppliers and manufacturers on some sort of touch screen tablet device. The Nokia tablet will suppose to run either the Meego operating system or Windows 7. But the lot aims at students which means it would be much affordable and possibly more powerful. Educational institutions are already starting to embrace tablet tech, which is a achievable benefit for Nokia.
