Nintendo has recently launched its DS Lite handheld gaming device. It is available in $129 and is packaged with a stylus for browsing through gaming options. It promises to be slimmer and smaller than the original Nintendo DS.
The device can be connected to USB interfaces and comes with attractive buttons for navigating left, right, up and down. In-built speakers are effective enough for those who like listening to the buzzing game music.
Strategy, entertainment and other fun games can be played on the Nintendo DS Lite device. However, the prime question is who needs such gaming devices and that too why to spend $129 on such low-featured device?
Gaming platforms are becoming smarter and more integrated. Most of the best in class gaming devices can be integrated with PC, Internet can be accessed on these devices and Bluetooth is becoming a de facto too.
The device is all set to face a stiff competition in the feature-rich gaming market. Especially with the pre-booking announcement of iPad, technocrats and gadget lovers are eyeing on the more robust platform of iPad.
Only time will tell the success of gaming platforms like Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite.
