iPod classic promises that now you won’t miss out on things that excite you. It would be available in 120 GB versions and slated to house-in – videos, images, music and whole lot of other features. It is estimated that it can accommodate close to 30,000 songs.
Like most of Apple’s product it can be integrated on the go with iTunes and songs could be transferred from Mac to iPod classic.
However, the big question lies that do we really need a product like iPod classic? When there is an option to watch streaming media, share in real time and the facility to take pictures on the go with iPhone or any other smart device, why would anyone buy an iPod classic?
Apple has to chalk out their marketing and product launch strategy in the long run. One can already notice a product conflict with too many me-too products from Apple off late.
It seems to be confused product positioning from Apple. A device which was supposed to playback music can now play videos too but the screen size is still almost the same. One can clearly notice Apple’s urge to sell more of a similar kind too much, too frequently.
