Yes it is, the new Canon Rebel T2i (the 550D in Europe) is entry-level DSLR digital camera with a lot of goodies for a reasonable price.
The new Canon Rebel T2i has an 18 mega-pixel CMOS sensor, noise reduction technology to take amazing pictures in low-light situations, 1920×1080 HD video recording capabilities at the 30fps (60fps at 720p), 9 point auto-focusing system to assist with easy for composition and focusing.
Tiring? Yes it has a lot of other stuff like continuous shoot mode of 3. 7fps, a new battery and a customizable FPS setting for video recording and the best part is the price. It is $900 with a kit lens, $800 for the body only.
The only downside is that the Rebel T2i has a polycarbonate body. A polycarbonate body is not as sturdy as a metal body. The T2i is expected to be launched during March 2010.
