After months of intense waiting, the next Call Of Duty game by Infinity Ward is finally here. This Game continues the story that players were left with the previous Modern Warfare game but includes some new features.

As you play through the single player campaign, you take control of Sergeant Gary Roach Sanderson, a member of an elite multi-national commando unit. The story is set 5 years after the Prequel and the Russian nationalists have returned under the leadership of Vladimir Macarov. You get to play through various stories and ultimately come together which make things interesting and allows the story to keep moving you forward. Throughout the campaign, you are taken from the cold snow to the hot deserts in Europe. There are also driving levels such as snow mobiles and water riding which fasten the pace of all the shooting done on foot. Unlike other first shooter games, in this game, you are always at the height of the action which keeps the adrenaline rush going. The player campaign takes about 6-10 hours to finish depending on the level of difficulty the game play is set at. This time, you get to play a controversial role as one of the terrorist who kill civilians in one of the levels. Usually, you are asked to pick if you want to play a level as the enemy or skip it. But since Infinity Ward decided to make this game more realistic, they instilled this factor in the game. Unfortunately, there are no major changes in the game play but there new weapons that you can try out. The Tar 21 is a new assault rifle and the riot shield is a defensive mechanism you get to use during the campaign. Now, the new game includes a special ops mode that allows for multiplayer campaign to be possible.

As far as multiplayer is concerned, you have more maps to choose from and new weapons to use. The game stills includes free-for-all and Team Death-match options. Kills streaks are even more to love. At 3 kills, you get a U.A.V, at 10 kills, you get a chopper, and at 25 kills in a row, you basically kill everyone that is alive. (Now that’s what you call awesome!) There are also perks when you play online including “marathon“, which gives the player unlimited sprint, and “last stand”, which lets you use a pistol before dying.

Overall, the Modern Warfare 2 brings back and refines every aspect that players loved about the first game. The single campaign is utterly brilliant by itself, and the multiplayer is always something gamers will come back for. The spec-ops mode is thing different and will keeps gamers motivated to get a higher and higher score. If you have any reason to buy a game, Modern Warfare 2 should be your first priority.
