Tonight Infinity Ward revealed the most-anticipated game of the year and the sequel to the best-selling first-person action game of all time, Modern Warfare 2.

The latest Modern Warfare 2 trailer leaves gamers with a memorable couple of lines narrated by a treacherous-sounding evildoer:

“The world has been your battlefield, everywhere you go, the blood of brothers and sons screams out against you. Perhaps you cannot yet hear it, because the soil is not your own. But you will.”

This trailer is much different than others and may hit a bit close to home for Americans.  As you watch it, you can see an assuming American soldiers’ convoys hit by an RPG as they patrol through a town in the Middle East. Breaking away from World War 2, and moving Call of Duty into modern times (no pun intended) has been a successful formula.

The long-long anticipated military shooter was scheduled to arrive on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 10th but like death and taxes gaming delays really are inevitable.
