Naughty Dog’s Creative Director Amy Hennig unveiled the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Fortune Hunter edition at PAX 2009. In the Fortune Hunter edition, along with the game, is an exact in-game replica of the Phurba Dagger artifact and stand, a collectible art book and collector case autographed by Naughty Dog, and a voucher for to-be-announced DLC.
The Fortune Hunter Limited Edition will not be sold in stores, and while one was given away to a lucky fan at PAX, Naughty Dog hasn’t yet revealed exactly how anyone else will be able to get their eager, knife-craving hands on one.
The PlayStation Blog explains that “there will be several ways to win including right here on the Blog,” and in a comment, the post’s author also clarifies there will be chances to win one “in HOME, during the multiplayer demo that kicks off on Sept 15th, [and] other places we’ll announce.” But otherwise, no further details were given, so we’ll all just have to wait and see how we may be able to get this kick-ass knife along with a bonus game.
The Fortune Hunter’s Edition comes with exclusive downloads, a collector case signed by the Naughty Dog team, an art book and an “exact” replica of the Phurba Dagger Artifact, complete with display stand. Quite the luxurious set, I think you’ll agree. If you want to get your filthy, undeserving hands on it though, you’ll have to keep your ear to the ground and wait for Sony to make an offer.
