- The dynamic contrast ratio is rated at a 7,000,000:1
- Energy Star v3.0 ratings

- The widgets-based interface and scrollbar are activated with the push of a button
- The Medi@2.0ä suite provides wired and wireless DLNA compatibility to enable the TVs to access photos, music and videos from networked PCs

Price: The 8500 series models will be offered in the 46-inch ($3,600 suggested retail) and 55-inch ($4,500) screen sizes.
Difference: LED TVs are a member of the LCD family but the main difference between the two lies with different backlighting techniques which has the ability to change the picture quality. LED TVs use Light Emitting Diodes to light the LCD panel, so instead of standard tubes which are used in normal LCD, the screen is lit up by thousands of small bulbs (or LEDs).
