Top 4 Games 2009

The games that are going to make waves this year are:

1) Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360):
According to the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu, the story revolves around Chris Redfield and takes place about 10 years after the original Resident Evil. With Chris being the main character, much of his life will be revealed as to what happened to him during the interim of the original Resident Evil and Resident Evil 5.

Also, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, the game’s former producer, said that this game will pick up where Resident Evil 4 ended.

2) Punch-Out (Wii):
You’re probably wondering if the game feels a lot like Wii Boxing, and that’s going to be an obvious comparison for everyone. There’s no way around this, because you’re throwing your arms out and simulating punches. It’ll be that way for any boxing game on the Wii, for all eternity.
It’s a good  idea if you’re a gamer looking for a workout as an hour or more of this in a row will have the same effect as spending some quality time in gym.

3) BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC): Even though the last game was flawed with the regeneration chambers mechanic, it did have an atmosphere about it  haven’t experienced since playing the original Half-Life.
Not much is known about this follow up (only a teaser has appeared so far) to 2007’s smash Xbox 360 hit (recently made available for the PS3). Bioshock’s creator Ken Levine is said to be hands on for this follow up. I would count on another smash from Big Daddies everywhere.

4) God of War III(PS3): Sony’s corporate comment made it official and named God of War PS3 as “God of War 3,” squashing any (likely nonexistent) speculation that it would be a side story or something other than a traditional sequel. This is the first game for the PS3 after Kratos’ outings on the PS2 and PSP, this game promises to be a painting in motion. From the looks of this it’s going to play smoother than the proverbial baby’s bottom and it looks like Kratos has got some funky new god-given upgrades to play with.
